Under the State Service Act 2000, Section 18(1)(g) the State Service Commissioner is to undertake reviews applied for under Section 50 Section 50 states: .(1) Subject to subsections (2) and (3), an employee is entitled to make application to the Commissioner for a review, in accordance with the Commissioner's Direction 7-2008
(b) of any other State Service action that relates to his or her employment in the State Service. (2) An employee is not entitled to make an application for a review under subsection (1)(a) if that employee was not an applicant for the duties to which the appointment or promotion relates. (3) An employee is not entitled to make an application for a review under subsection (1)(b) in respect of the termination of the employee's employment.
